GLOBUS is a corporate language school providing language training for businesses. Its entire operation is managed through a single system, covering everything from quotations and needs assessments to digital lesson records and monthly invoicing. Behind the scenes, the workflow is surprisingly complex. Teachers work as contractors, VAT rules vary between corporate clients, and teacher payments are calculated from completed lesson records at the end of each month.
This operation relied on a 25-year-old legacy system. A replacement platform had already been started, but the previous development company was unable to complete it because it failed to fully understand GLOBUS's business processes. As a result, the half-finished system had remained stalled for almost a year.
LogiNet took over the project. We first gained a thorough understanding of the language school's day-to-day operations through real-life business scenarios, then merged three sources into a single system with one shared database. We completed the unfinished application, migrated the functionality from the legacy system, and specified and developed the missing features together with the client. The result is a unified platform with three dedicated interfaces: an administration portal for back-office staff, a teacher portal for lesson recording and settlements, and a student portal for lesson confirmations.
The refactoring process was significantly accelerated with AI-assisted development, which is estimated to have reduced development time to around one-third of what manual implementation would have required. The application was modernised with a Laravel backend and a Blade + Livewire frontend. The system reached the testing phase within six months, with production deployment planned for autumn. The client is already preparing the next phase, replacing two legacy systems with one modern, unified platform.
